OnePlus 2 Gets A Price Cut of INR 2000 on Both Variants

The advancement and the modernization of technology have certainly made the lives of users easy, however, it also has confused certain user base especially those who are fond of gadgets or in simple terms are a gadget freak. The sole reason being the availability of a large number of smartphones to choose from. That with the addition of special discount offer further complicates things.

Chinese based firm OnePlus has now permanently decided to cut down the prices of its flagship product OnePlus 2. This offer is applicable on both the 16GB and the 64GB variants of the smartphone and now with the price cut, 16GB variant would be available for INR 20,999 while the 64GB variant price would be INR 22,999. Both the models are getting a price cut of INR 2,000.

When the company was asked the reason behind the slashing of prices, it stated it to be the perfect time for the price cut since already seven months have passed since the first time OnePlus 2 smartphone came in the Indian market and the price cut would allow the company to garner audience quite easily. It is worth a mention that both the 16GB and 64GB variants of OnePlus 2 were initially launched for INR 22,999 and INR 24,999 respectively.

In terms of specifications, it must be noted that OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch in-cell display that gives a full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It sports a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz further coupled with 4GB RAM. The handset is a dual-SIM variant giving a support for 4G technology and USB Type-C connectivity. In terms of camera specs, the handset sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear end along with the addition of a 5-megapixel camera on the front side. The fully loaded smartphone gets powered by a 3300mAh battery.

Giving further explanations on the price cut the company explained, the move has been taken after considering all the factors like company sizeability and the flexibility the company has gained over the past few months. Some enthusiasts also speculate that the company has cut down the prices to make way for a new flagship product which entirely isn't false since the company itself has declared that it plans to unveil the next OnePlus product dubbed the OnePlus 3 somewhere in the 2nd Quarter of 2016 or in simple terms, somewhere around April-June.
