Samsung Officially Announced Galaxy J1 mini With 4-Inch Display

The South Korean smartphone manufacturing firm Samsung was rumored to be working on a mini variant of the Galaxy J1 for months. The company has finally introduced its J1 mini smartphone in the Philippines. As of now, the J1 Mini is listed on the company's Philippines site without any details about availability and pricing. It is expected that the smartphone will viral soon.

Samsung Galaxy J1 mini

The Samsung Galaxy J1 mini is a new variant in the company's Galaxy J series. It features a 4-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 480*800 pixels and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 768MB of RAM.

For the storage, the dual SIM based J1 mini houses an 8GB of internal storage, that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. It bears a 5-megapixel camera at the rear end with no flash and the 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. For the connectivity, the smartphone includes GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, and Wi-Fi option.

The new Galaxy J1 mini is backed by a 1500mAh removable battery which promises to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 7 hours of video playback time. The device is measuring 121.6x63.1x10.8mm and weighs 120 grams. The Galaxy J1 mini will be available in Black and Gold color variants.

Earlier, the Galaxy J series variants, J1 smartphone was launched at Rs. 7,190 in January last year while Galaxy J1 Ace was unveiled at Rs. 6,300 in September.
