Official: Hyundai Santro (AH2 Hatchback) with AMT May See a Diwali Release

This Festive season Hyundai is all set to reintroduce its iconic tall boy hatchback ‘the Santro’. This was hinted by the recent release of its first sketch. The sketch hints at the rebirth of the iconic tall boy design albeit fusing the latest Hyundai design language as well.

Ushering in the modern age, the new Santro (codenamed AH2), will carry the best of the past and the present in its design. A few leaks and various sightings have revealed new cascading grille and new alloy wheels for the hatchback.

It would be made available in petrol variant only. However, the presence of AMT would please one and all fans of the Santro brand. The AMT would later be part of other Hyundai offerings also.

As far as price tag goes, the Santro will be marketed as the new entry-level B-segment vehicle and fit in between the Eon and Grand i10. On road, the new Santro (AH2) will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Tata Tiago and the Datsun GO Plus.

Recently there was news circulating that the new 2018 Hyundai Santro would launch nearby october which is somehow closer to the fact of diwali launch. It would also try to cut the links of its own sibling Hyundai Ion which is old since 2011.
